How to Check Your YouTube CPM in Studio
Find your channel's CPM in YouTube Studio, compare it with playback-based CPM and RPM, and learn why a public channel URL cannot reveal private earnings.
Quick answer
To check your own YouTube CPM, sign in to YouTube Studio, open Analytics, choose Revenue and inspect ad-performance metrics for a consistent date range. If the metric is not on the overview, use Advanced mode and the available revenue or ad-performance reports. Labels and availability can vary by channel and interface.
Where to find CPM: a practical checklist
Use the account that owns or manages the channel. A public video page does not show its advertiser CPM. Monetization eligibility and report availability affect which revenue metrics you can see.
- Open YouTube Studio and select the correct channel.
- Go to Analytics, then Revenue. Set the date range you want to investigate.
- Inspect the available CPM or playback-based CPM metric. Use Advanced mode to explore available ad-performance reports when needed.
- Record the exact metric name, date range, currency, video format and any filters. Compare like-for-like periods, not a single day against a full-year benchmark.
Why you might not see CPM
A channel without access to monetization reports may not have CPM data. Reporting delays, a date range with little advertising activity, and different desktop/mobile interfaces can also affect what is displayed. Missing data is not the same as a verified zero-dollar CPM.
For API-based channel monetary reports, YouTube requires owner authorization and the appropriate monetary scope. A non-monetized channel can be ineligible for these reports. This website does not connect to your YouTube account or retrieve those private reports.
How to monitor CPM without misleading comparisons
Keep a weekly record of the same metric and currency. Alongside CPM, record total views, ad impressions or monetized playbacks when available, audience geography, format, and creator revenue. Note changes in topics, ad suitability or viewer mix before attributing a change to seasonality.
Do not average daily CPM figures equally when volumes differ. When the matching inputs are available, aggregate gross ad revenue and ad impressions for the whole period, then calculate CPM from those totals. Use RPM and revenue alongside CPM: higher advertiser demand does not automatically mean higher total channel earnings.
Can you check another channel's actual CPM?
Not from a public channel URL using this website. Public views and subscriber counts are not enough to establish private advertiser revenue or ad impressions. An external earnings calculator can only model scenarios unless the channel owner supplies the relevant data.
Our Usage Monitor reports this website's calculation API activity, not live YouTube CPM. For your actual channel reporting, use YouTube Studio. Never provide your Google password to a third-party CPM checker.
